In the Photograph

In the Photograph

There was a scarf on the table, off white and see through. I wrapped it around my eyes to see the garden in a new way. Strong arms guided me then outside and said you’re here. I opened my eyes because I was curious and decided to sit down in the grass. I felt the grass on my hands the way it always felt. I saw the grass though differently. There was absolutely no way to see it clearly. I couldn’t see anything clearly in fact. He was watching me see things all wrapped up in that see through scarf. He was watching my freedom and smiled. I showed him what I saw in the photograph. Copyright © Susy Kamber
