I Can See Your Reflection
Wet Leaves in a Black Sea
I kept myself still in the forest, Listening. the rustle of a thousand leaves, Moving. the wind carried their sounds to me. the happenstance way their branches held them. everything attached to something else. the lingering smell of bark and grass as if rubbed together. heady I am inside. thinking to become a tree or a leaf. kept still in the forest, so still I stayed. when it came time to leave I never really did. for I am wet leaves in a black sea now. floating amongst the waves. Borrowed Fog
if we were to bottle the fog into a small container and gaze at it unopened, watching the layered swirls enclosed, wondering if opened would it contain us as a foggy walk through a forest path. then let me open this wrapped enclosure, for I love a borrowed fog dream of seen air and trees abloom. a misty touch of you. © Susy Kamber All Rights Reserved
