Creation dateI see the light from your far away places. I rub my eyes open. Finding brightness in spaces. Illuminated and glowing. The valleys and trees. The harbors of roses. The music of breeze. A wind blown oasis. Going inside to find. This message of hope is ever divine. To run through a forest and kneel while I sigh. To realize that wildness is here at my side. A certain emotion is captured quite fast. The two of us playing, Together at last. The gold ink on paper written that day. Spoke words of much love which I now have to say. Emotions addressed for the light in the dark. Your thoughts are my paintings, my hopes and my heart. Copyright © Susy Kamber, Song Selection - Spellbound ( Acoustic) Ghostly Kisses

Creation datein the wilds of the forest. the grace of the gallop the lure of the earth and I all around it. Given this message to touch on your soul. Come venture into forests when darkness takes hold. The skies turning purple and stars becoming light. The feelings in air that touch on your sight. Arising as mountains majestic and bare. The trees kiss together, the earthen wares stare. During strumming of quiet a forest tis born. All in her silence, for you becomes known. Copyright - Susy Kamber All rights reserved
My Mother’s Dreams © Susy Kamber

Creation dateThe inquisitive little girl listened as her mother spoke to her. She loved her mother’s stories each night before she closed her eyes and fell asleep. They helped her settle into the warm folds of her blanket. As her eyes closed her mother spoke. “Sleeping wind lays its breath on the earth. Quietly turning, moving nothing but herself. No one notices this nascent presence. Her dreams though make wild and blustery sounds. Pushing through window screens and laying those very same dreams on you my dearest.” (The willowy breath sounds from her mother’s lips blow sweetly near her face.) The dim starlight has reasons even though dull. Making shade all the softer and colors not so bold. They waken the night so the dew can be seen. These sleeping reflections are lights for your dream. They swing into movement. They land as a glaze. The dim starlight becomes active for reasons they gave. To awaken what will. The dimness unblind. Sweet dreams come to surface. Very similar to rhymes.” (Mama, tell me more.) “The night flowers catch the shadows and off into the night they lay down sleeping. Asleep there not because of dreams, but because they are together. In the darkened night the shadow’s colors know another. Nightened flowers enlightened by shadows that speak.” (Are the flowers singing?) “Yes, my dear. The music is mind altering, a piece of paper unravels, all the colors inside turning the other way. Addressing the sounds. Becoming muffled, one into another. Another into one. The distance between edges obscure. Powdered pastels form waves. Rising airs reaching heaven from the music.” (Mama, tell me what you dreamt.) ”It was this diagonal dream on a bike. On the ground sleeping soundly. Nothing like being held in a will of its own making. The bike wheels rolling into a Hempstead field gathering up little bits of earthen wear around their tread. I was meant to pick at this dirt and pack it into a pod as I dreamt of overgrown plants that would emerge. Spreading out their tendrils grasping the tree branches for leaves to hold onto. Roots growing deeply into the earth awaiting the watery raindrops’ arrival to quench their thirst. A dreamer’s paradise to watch as I biked through this web of nature. An enlargement of what; I wondered...as always my dreams reveal. Or perhaps the gusty wayward air is a channel to turn on. A tv to look into. A walking girl on her way to see why she is an anemometer. Put into the picture to measure exactly how much wind is needed to open more petals. She wants more petals to open up. To bloom. To fill the air with perfume. She wants the gusty wayward air to do that so everyone can wear a flower. High styled or plain. Peace babies spreading love. Always in my mind this golden yellow party of flowers blowing in a field close to the ocean. A vest for the earth and I. Dance little ones into my heart. (Mama, were you really there in your dream, can I go, too?) ”Yes, my darling little girl, one day you will see the ocean’s waves form eyes of blue. Caresses fashioned by the skies above. Light voiced into shades unbeknownst to man. He touches though their worth and knows the blue bounty of this vision. The waves, the skies forever his hope. His shoe fell off and he left it there as a footprint. Of all the places he traveled and all the dust he moved. All the trampled people he saw. Every sock he wore from drawers that gentle hands had placed within to keep him warm. His footprint a container of time his shoe kept safe. It remains for you.” Copyright © Susy Kamber - Song Selection - Before the Dawn - Judah Earl

Creation dateThe flowers met as time for grace. Turned petals inward, Upon their face. An inward reflection had thus begun, The quiet leading me to hum. The wind closed eyed, So none could see. Their creases touching the snow bound tree, In wait for warmth to reach and hold. I bend to this, I eased my soul. The slowness now a blessing gained, This quiet splendor does contain. I raise my face upon the sky, Touch me sunshine, feel my smile. ©Susy Kamber All rights reserved As you sit on the hillside, or lie prone under the trees of the forest, or sprawl wet-legged by a mountain stream, the great door, that does not look like a door, opens. Assume Paint and Love

Creation dateThe paint assumes it can be anything it wants and go anywhere within the canvas. Running down a hillside or onto a tree so that it can grow. Curves might become nothing other then what they are meant to become, or maybe much more then they imagine. The paint soothing the flat surface of a canvas that needs it. In the distance a softened sun addresses shadows for the paint to cling to and own. As I too assume paint and love. Copyright - Susy Kamber All rights reserved Song Selection - ask the wind - Saah

Creation dateSomewhere or other is a human butterfly. Come hither. The bountiful field is in urge. To spread close your wings. With white powder to fly. The flavored air, the sweet scent. Arabesque designs of showers from flowered song. Brings far off melodic verses to rhyme. The vacant stem no longer alone. Aligned in divine presence. Enveloped in the sojourn of nature. Something inside the innocence and quiet opens your eyes. The ducks parading in the water, pushing the waves further. The trees moving forward. The wind now aroused. © Susy Kamber - Music Selection - Evening of Roses (Arr. Cello, Clarinet & Ensemble) Sheku Kanneh-Mason Evening of Roses is actually the English title for the Hebrew song Erev Shel Shoshanim, a beautiful love song written in 1957 by composer Yosef Hagar and lyricist Moshe Dor. The lyrics invite a loved one to a fragrant garden, setting a romantic scene that’s become a favorite at Jewish weddings.

Creation dateRaine was her name. Under pink clouds. Trees dripping water. Puddles splashing sounds. Streaks of brown hair. Tied together in two. Braids she had woven. Each day, always new. All the pink flowers. Sprang forth from the clouds. She went there to see them. Their beauty she found. The colors matched sunshine and sparkling eyes. She touched what she noticed. Pink flowers inside. The sweet air for Raine. Is now part of her home. Where clouds engage treetops and flowers are grown. Copyright © Susy Kamber
